Timber Buildings in Staffordshire
The Staffordshire Moorlands begin a few miles from our gate. Our farm workshops are at New Mills, just over the Derbyshire border, which puts Leek, Biddulph, Longnor and the Manifold Valley closer to us than a good deal of the county we are named in — so a site visit is straightforward and installation is done by our own joiners rather than subcontracted.
This is upland country with the weather to match, and the buildings we make were designed for it. Timber workshops and machinery stores for smallholdings and businesses, stables, tack rooms and field shelters for the moorland yards, garages and garden buildings for homes across the Moorlands and the Potteries — all made to order in heavy duty, pressure-treated Redwood.
Nothing is a kit. Sizes, layout, roof pitch and materials, window and door positions, insulation and lining are decided for your building and your site, which matters rather more when the site is exposed.

Planning in Staffordshire
Applications go to Staffordshire Moorlands, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Newcastle-under-Lyme or the other district councils depending on where you are — and to the Peak District National Park Authority for the northern part of the Moorlands that lies inside the park, around Longnor, Flash and the Manifold Valley. Stables and barns usually need permission. We can support your application with drawings and specification.
Workshops built to work in
Standard height to the eaves is 7ft, and larger workshops are carried on 8" x 2" portal trusses for a clear span with no posts in the middle of the floor. Roof lights, a separate personnel door, lining to the eaves, insulation and internal hinged security shutters are all available, and buildings are anchored to your base with concrete bolts.
