Timber Buildings in the High Peak — Stables, Shelters, Sheds & Garages
The High Peak is home ground. Our farm workshops are at Shedyard Farm on Laneside Road, New Mills, so for customers in Glossop, Buxton, Whaley Bridge, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Hayfield, Chinley and the Hope Valley a site visit is a short drive and installation is on our doorstep.
We have been making heavy duty sectional timber buildings here since the early 1990s: stables and field shelters for the hill farms, smallholdings and livery yards, and garages, workshops, sheds and garden buildings for homes across the borough. Everything is made to order in the workshop and erected by our own joiners onto your prepared base.
What we build in the High Peak
Planning in the High Peak
A large part of the borough lies inside the Peak District National Park, where the National Park Authority decides planning applications; outside the park it is High Peak Borough Council. Stables and barns usually need permission. We know the area well and can support your application with drawings and specification.
Made for the hills
Our buildings have stood on exposed High Peak hillsides for decades. The heavy specification — 1" V-jointed Redwood cladding, 3" x 2" framing, 4" roof timbers, hot-dipped galvanised fittings — exists because this is where we build, and field shelters are strapped to the ground as standard.
